Besides bz2ing your files, is there anyway to make it faster? Or does the speed determine on the provider?
Because some people say my sv_downloadurl is slow, should I get a different one? Where would I get a faster one?

It is down to your provider of the web host. Some people might find it slow who are joining from far away locations.

You would need to test the download speed on your current host against others to see if it is worth changing provider.
