[RESOLVED]gui vs non gui?
#1
hello everybody!
Quick question regarding the gui vs command line. when i start my tf2 server (srcds.exe -console -game tf +exec server.cfg +ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -port 27015 +maxplayers 16 -tickrate 66 +fps_max 600 +map ctf_2fort) it starts normal command line interface and works fine. When i start my l4d server (srcds.exe -command -game left4dead +maxplayers 16 +ip xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx -port 27017 +map l4d_farm01_hilltop) it comes up gui and also works fine i think?

My question is, why are they different and dose it matter? Both get players, and I think both show up on steam server list. Oh and im running both at the same time. one 27015 and 1 27017.

RIG:
win xp64
cpu-intel dulecore 2.2
ram 4gig ddr2 800
disk- BIG-T

Thanks

The difference is.

The GUI uses more RAM. Useful if you are a GSP.

The GUI is for "noobs" who can't manage their servers with commands Wink

The non GUI shows you more information.

I can add [resolved] for you.

I know it uses a bit more RAM. Probably some other features. They shouldn't matter that much.
