Hey everyone,

I have 2 server set up:

- 12 slot, 100TickRate
- 22 slot, 100TickRate

The 12 slot (war server) works exactly as it should, and so did the 22 slot one until yesterday. I have been running it for over a month, never had any problems. However, out of a sudden yesterday evening the server started to ping from 500-3000, the ping even jumped so high that it was impossible to connect to it. I have removed ALL of the add-ons, but it just doesn't seem to help. The ping of the server is tremendous and no player is able to do anything up there.

Another strange thing is that the 12 slot server is running on the same machine on the same IP. I can't find out where the problem could lie? Any ideas? Thanks!

100/100, that is definately not the problem, I have a quad core xeon, I have ran 64 slot servers before.

Run a firewall and allow ONLY what you need(remote desktop and srcds.exe)

Plus make sure your servers are up to date.

lol epic, I have spoken with a friend who works with these things, he somehow found out that someone was really hacking the server with ddos. The hacker was obviously trying to shut-down the server, not realising that the server is plugged to a 100mb line Sad

Anyhow, my friend somehow blocked him or something, the server works normally again, thanks to everyone for helping.

You can't block him there is an srcds dos packet that can easily DDoS your server thru srcds packet sending, installing zBlock for 100% protection against srcds DoS

Do as St1flus says.
Install zBlock from here. http://zblock.mgamez.eu/

Install the latest version 4.4
If you want Bhop on your server put in your cfg.
zb_bunnyfix 0
and zb_dosprotect Should be turned on. This helps. As i self know how to crash a server(Just For Tesing). Installing zBlock will solve it...

True, however Mani and zB just don't go together, so there is no way we can install it while Mani is active...
