Server not showing up on master server list
#1
Here's the info:

Server OS: XP SP2 (Didn't have anything else on hand atm Toungue)
Processor: Pentium 4 3 GHz
Ram: 512 MB
Game(s): TF2
Start Up Command:
Code:
C:\SRVR\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game tf +hostname "TurtleBlob's Playground" +sv_lan 0 +map arena_orange_fort +sv_password "******" -hostip 88.149.121.19 -clientport 27050 -ip 192.168.1.35

The problem is that while I see and join the server on LAN, none of my friends can see it (I tried Gametiger too), but directly connecting works (Through favorites). I don't have a server.cfg at the moment but that's just until I get things up and running (Keeping track of both the command and the cfg got tiresome). I forwarded port 27000 - 28000 to IP address 192.168.1.35 (I have to do this by phone so I tend to use big ranges).

I hope that's all the info needed.

EDIT: Managed to directly connect 3 of my friends.

shouldn't it be +ip 192.168.1.35 and does the -hostip and -clientport command work? because all I use is +ip 192.168.1.102 and -port 27015. Mine still won't show up in the master server list either, I think it's because you can't see anything on you external IP but it should be, did you check http://www.game-monitor.com ? Because mine shows up in there and also I knew that it was in the master server list because someone from Europe joined and he told me that it was on there.

I use -ip, never tried +ip. Remove the hostip line and the clientport line and add -port 27050

ok, well I think it is +ip, but I dont use that anymore Toungue i just use the normal run command
Code:
./srcds_run -cosole -game cstrike +map de_dust2 -maxplayers 24 -autoupdate -tickrate 33
without any +ip, -port and so on becasue it was a firewall settings in my router. I turned them off and now I can see my server in the master server list and anyone can join now. Here's the settings for my routers firewall, maybe they will be similar if not the same! I attached what my settings look like for the router firewall... Also it can take up to 30 mins for the master server list to refresh or you can use a server managing program called HLSW, CLICK HERE to download. When I use HLSW I can see my server up right away and sometimes it takes a little while for the steam servers to update. Also Steam said they are running out of rooms for the servers that are being made and won't allow new one's to be put on i believe. Well I hope this helped you a little if not fully Toungue If you need anything else post back and I'll try to help... lol... Also I DID NOT Need to Disable my Firewall inorder for it to work, It's still enabled and its working fine Big Grin
