server.cfg probs

HI

when i make a dedicated server over steam it says couldn't exec server.cfg

but i have server.cfg placed at counter-strike source\cstrike\cfg

HOW COME?!

Double check that the file isn't server.cfg.txt as this is the most common problem when this happens.

You can do this in your folder options, and select show file extensions. Then look at your cfg file and see.

Or just open your cfg file in notepad click save as and name it server.cfg then change the field below "save as type" to all files and save that should sort it and delete your original file if it works.
