You can get 1000fps in vista by enabling hpet and xp doesn't support this so you can only get 512 fps

hpet is in the bios correct?
and also
my xp machine is
Amd Athlon 64 x2 3.0ghz~
2gig ddr2800
sata2 hdd

vista machine is only
intel dual core cant remember ghz off the top of my head
4gig of ddr2 667
and sata hdd

even tho the vista machine isnt as good the server would run better due to the fact that it will be running double the fps right?

I have Windows Vista Home Premium 32BIT.

I haven't changed anything in the Bios.
I run 999.99FPS.

I heard that srcds was buggy with windows 7. The 1000fps should work on windows 7

I've been running mine on Windows 7 with no hitches at all. My motherboard doesn't support HPET so I'm not sure about getting to 1000fps, but I can manage ~250fps with srcdsfpsbooster.

You should be getting 500 fps with the booster
