DOH,I cant believe i did not put what game i was playing,it isTF2.The problem with the fade to black was cured by the config above, cheers for that Arjen. As for not being able to use unlocked weapons, when i tested the server for the fading problem i used some of my unlocked weapons,do not know what my friend was on about.

Intel Pentium D CPU 3.3GHZ(2CPUS)
2GB MEMORY
I am using the TF2DedicatedServerTool to fire up the server
I have Sourcemod and Metamod installed
Hope this is enough information.

Only 1 problem to solve, sometimes some of the chat is not showing up,has anyone experienced this problem

Pentium D dates back to 2005. Early stage of dual core....known then really as hyper threading. Usual setup though was dual cpu though as HT had little to no benefit.

It should be fine for running tf2 imo.

Turn of HT and it should be fine, also those dual cores were just 2 cpus on one die

I don't know about that chat... however you should be using the SRCDS.exe rather then the steam server.

Please do not PM me for server related help

Nooo, use hldsupdatetool to install the server, not running it off of steam.

LOL,its ok,i have installed the server with the hldsupdatetool, all i did was download the Team Fortress 2 dedicated server tool from steam and edited it to where i installed the server.I did have this config and ran it in the run command
c:\TF2\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game tf -hostport 27015 +maxplayers 24 +map ctf_2fort

Should i keep doing it this way or is the first way still ok.
