Server not responding, people can join by console only
#1
I've been trying to set up a dedicated server, which I had no trouble doing about 2 years ago. Now that I've started again, things seem to have changed.

So I've updated it, set it up, but when I run the server, no one is able to join it.
-It is port forwarded
-It even shows up in the server list.

As soon as someone, even myself tries to join it, it simply states the server is not responding in the server info dialogue. The only way for people to join my server is to use the console, and type "connect 60.241.110.6".

I have absolutely no idea what's wrong and I really don't know what I can do anymore, is this some bug I don't know about or am I doing something wrong?

I tried turning the firewall off, port forwarding a whole load of ports, DMZ, restarting the server.. I just don't know anymore.

Some more details:
-Router is a Netgear DG834N
-I tried using DMZ
-I tried disabling the firewall of my server
-The server is run from a different computer on my network
-I receive the exact same results when hosting the server on my main computer

is it upto date ?

it wont allow you to join the servers unless srcds is updated to the most recent version

that would explain why you could join via IP ?

just a thought
