Server Lag

Hi there,

I have a SRCDS install with TF2 on it and for the life of me I can't solve an extremely annoying problem:

Whenever someone joins the server, it lags for a moment then continues fine. I've had 20+ people on the server once everyone's joined with Zero lag, but whenever someone joins, even if that person is the second person on the server, it lags a moment.

Any ideas? It is driving me nuts and my community is getting really pissed off.


BASIC INFO
Server OS: Red Hat Linux 3.2.3-20
Processor: AMD Opteron Processor 242 Dual Core 1.6GhZ
Ram: 20GB (I realize the application can't access most of the ram. The box used to do something else which needed it and I'm lazy and never pulled the excess ram)
Game(s): TF2
Start Up Command: /home/steam/orangebox/srcds_run -game tf -timeout 30 -autoupdate -debuglog tf2debug.log +map pl_goldrush +port 27015 +maxplayers 24 +ip 216.105.97.102 -pidfile srcds.pid
Admin Mods: SourceMod, MetaMod

But what's your internet speed? (brandwitdh speed for server?)

And that CPU has a busy day with 20 players in with Team Fortess 2

10M up and down. No known connectivity issues.
