Hi all,
I'll be running a lan soon, mainly css and tf2. Is it possible to run multiply instances of css or tf2 from the one installl of srcds? The srcds would be running on linux.
Eg.
2 Standard CSS servers - one srcds install? or
1 Standard CSS + 1 Deathmatch CSS - possible one srcds install?
And if possible have different configs per game (just to change hostname / admins).
Thanks in advance.

Yes it is. But I'd recommend you to run a seprate installation for each server.

Thanks for the quick reply, yeah I have decided on separate install for each server, but what about the short time competitions are running, where you have 4 or so normal css running at once? Would it be ok to run them from the same install, if so can i have a separate config for each?

No, its a good idea to have them on 2 installs because of logging, file usage (not using/trying to write the same file at 1 time by 2 different services), and many other things. Just install it once, and set it all up, and copy the whole folder again to a new location and run 2.

You can use symlink install's build a template of one server then use symlink to create the multiple instances this will allow you to copy .txt and .cfg files while leaving everything else as a sym link so all the defaults remain the same file(things that you dont edit)
