setting map rotation for multiple servers?
#1
Question
I want to have different map rotations for each server I have setup (ie, ctf/cp/pl/arena)

my setup...

win2k8
a single install of hlds
Firedaemon Trinity

right now I am just using shortcuts (services in firedaemon) to call different server configs for each server.

Can I call different map rotations as well?

so it would be a command like below (just an example)
"C:\HLServer\youraccount\hlds.exe" +maxplayers 10 -game tf -console +port 27015 +exec maprotation5.txt +exec server5.cfg

TIA for anyhelp

its as simple as simply editing your mapcycle.txt differently for each server

but they all cant call the same mapcycle file since they are pulling off the same hlds install.

do I need a seperate install for each server i want to run?

No, there is a mapcycle command.
After a LOT of searching... I think it's mapcyclefile.
So try starting up with -mapcyclefile maplist1.txt

Let me know if that works...
