So I see ton's of post all the time and I'm sure plenty of people get asked this question off the site. How many slots or how much can this sever handle??? Do to the overwhelming factors involved and the differences that so many servers and hardware present I figured we could band together and give some real world examples of what we all have. For those who are looking to purchase and want to understand what servers can do what this will give them some good insight into what they can expect. Maybe turn it into a sticky IDK?
Please only do the following:
Specs:
Intel quad core q6600
4gb of ddr2 800mhz ram
100mbit dedicated line 3500gb of throughput
It handles:
2 20slot 100tick servers
2 32 slot 66tick servers
1 32 slot tf2 server
1 24 slot cod4 server
2 of my servers are always full the others have moderate-heavy traffic only one actually runs at 1000fps others are 500 and below. No lag and servers run quite well with average amount of mods on some of them.
Please only do the following:
- Post of real examples you currently have or know for a fact can run what is mentioned
- Don't flame others on there setups
- Try to post its maximum load of game servers you know it can handle.
- Try to give detailed information about the box and game servers.
