Interesting. ^_^
I added the Garry's Mod folder from my srcds folder into my source 2007 dedicated server folder that steam uses. It added Garry's Mod to the list and starts up normally, connects to VAC. But I seem to get a Steam Invalid Key Size error when I as the client try to join it. I googled around and found that I had to dump some .dll files into the bin of source 2007 dedicated server. So I do all this, reset the server. I try joining again, and the error still persists. Is this a problem with windows 7?
Thanks,

Do you have to buy an operating system like Windows Server 2003? I still have XP and might revert back to it, but I would really like to figure this out. ^_^

Wow you guys are so edgy
There is absolutely nothing wrong with using Windows 7 as an operating system or a server, I have been testing it since the 6800 builds. I now use build 7057 as a main operating system. Its stable and runs better than XP and Vista 64.
Anyhow, thats just my opinion.. to something that matters...
Windows 7 and SRCDS run just fine. You must have messed something else up with the server as I can successfully install and run SRCDS for Left 4 Dead, CS:S, and I just set up TF2. They all run at 600+ FPS on my laptop/desktops just fine.
