RCON Help needed

Hey Guys,

I recently got my CSS SRCDS Dedicated Server up and running but I can't get my RCON password right. In my server.cfg, there is a part where I have this:

rcon_password "******”                // Password for most things

But if I type "rcon_password ******" into the in-game console of my SRCDS server, it says "Bad RCON Password" I have tried this with HLSW as well.

Though, I still haven't installed Mani Admin Plugin, I still want to get this to work first

Help please?

Do you have startup parameter -rcon <server-ip>?

Fix those double inverted commas, they're probably causing the problem.

i.e. rcon_password "my_password"

Make sure your editing your cfgs in a normal text editor, not Word :-O

Just a note to windows users:
When editing .cfg's, use notepad or another basic text editor. (I would recomend notepad++ if you are dealing with unix-style files)
