How to run multiple servers (on one server) with different configurations?

I'm trying to add another server to my current one. I have two separate instances running of CSS via:

./srcds_run -game cstrike +map cs_office -maxplayers 32 -port 27015

and

Code:

./srcds_run -game cstrike +map cs_office -maxplayers 32 -port 27016

How an have the two run different server.cfg files?

just copy the whole install folder to a different one or use sym links.

Had thought of that, but it seems like a windows solution to me. Can't you specify which config file to execute on server load?

you can however, it will always execute whatever is in the addons folder, if you want to run the same addons for every server that's great. if you don't then it won't work.

I believe it is the '+servercfgfile' switch on the startup line.

if you can, dont run 2 or more server from same folder... even one server runs full of people the other server will lag

Wouldn't the lagging still be an issue if you just symlinked the entire directory as well?

yes a symlink runs also
so you can remove the link of .cfg files and fit instead other cfg files
