well johnhutch2000, it downloaded a bunch of stuff? and there was still no srcds.exe file. did the download get stoped in the middle or something, cuz the actual exe file is one of the last things to download, try running it again, and make sure at the end it says installation is up to date, press any key to continue...
and turd burglar, you no longer need a username and password to install srcds, i doupt thats the problem, but just to tell you. did you install hldsupdatetool? try just double clicking on the file itself, and then try to run that command after its done going through its thing. and it should give you a list a accepted games after it says the game counter-strike source isn't found. does it list css or anything on that?
