Normally say, post your glibc and gcc versions, but i already know, gcc (gcc -v) is 2.93 glibc is 2.2.x. Source needs glibc version 2.3 i woud follow the instructions from the debian site to upgrade to the latest version of debian, which is wooody? not sure on that as i run Gentoo
