Can't create account

Steam did away with the account creation.

So it is no longer necessary to have a Steam account to use this tool so you can go stright to the downloading of the files.

Quote:wget http://www.steampowered.com/download/hldsupdatetool.bin

This will download the latest verison of hldsupdatetool.bin

Then do a:

chmod +x hldsupdatetool.bin

Then

./hldsupdatetool.bin

If it asks you any questions just type yes

then

./steam

Then do it again ( This assures that it is completely up to date)

./steam

Then run the following command line (Change cstrike to the mod of your choice) - But before you do this, do a pwd to make sure you are in the /home/carlos/hlds_l directory otherwise it may download it somewhere else. Also make sure you put that . at end of the command line.

./steam -command update -game <game> -dir .

And it will start downloanding and you will be good to go!
