in fact, that's the same question. you can run srcds on anything that supports sse2, but you will have terrible lags.

as I suspected, the 3 GHz Xeon is a Netburst one. It's basically a Pentium 4 3 GHz. no way you will be able to run servers with an acceptable quality on that machine. sorry.
