Upgrade Question

I am currently running a server for a friend on Windows XP Pro. I am planning to upgrade to Windows Vista Ultimate, would the server still work? I am not going to be connecting to that server. Thanks a lot!

My Computer Specs:
Processor: Intel Dual Core @ 2.66gHz
Ram: 1024mb
Operating System: Windows XP Pro (Soon to be Vista)
Harddrive: 250gb

I don't see a good reason to upgrade a server to vista.
And I wouldn't run vista with under 2 gigs of ram.

Eather stay with Xp or get another 2 gigs of ram.
