Downloading: .\cstrike\bin\server.dll
I think that has something to do with the clients. Would probably be best to take it up with though

starting 9/24/2006 if your problem has been solved please edit your first post and add [solved] to the begining of the title. Thanks.
It downloads DLL's here too, maybe it is just a mistake in this case.

My server is running Folding@home (the Source DS ain't used that much), and the executable it runs by is called Fah_Core.exe (though it's the right client for Linux), it is perfectly possible to give files such "Windows-related" extensions. Maybe those DLL's are just named like that for convenience?
May the Source be with you...

it uses those dlls to compare version of client/server like client.dll server.dll and perhaps even more Smile

and no they dont get used, linux uses the .so files Wink
To be (an admin), or not to be (an admin), that is the Question. steam linux install guide for cs 1.6
I noticed that when I start the server, it mentions the .dll file, so I guess its normal. I'm running FreeBSD.
probably the same reason why it downloads the .so files on the windows version
