SRCDS Steam group

srcds.exe is missing

I followed all the steps to install a source dedicated server on my pc but after downloading all the files the program sais me that it is uptodate.
But i have no srcds.exe in the srcds folder Sad

only hlds.exe

it is to launch a hl2mp server

Please help
Same diggler i know?

You have installed half life 1 dedicated server. Post the command line you used to download with. Gaming Servers

I'm a belgian Diggler ;-)
Big as the Boogie night's one Smile

here is the command i used:

hldsupdatetool -command update -game "hl2mp" -dir C:\srcds -username diggler69 -password xxx -remember_password

edit: just to mention that i have downloaded all hl2 files - the several hours download run

Not sure why it downloads the wrong game.

HldsUpdateTool.exe -command update -game hl2mp -dir C:\Servers\Source\Server -username cpserver -password Gaming Servers
Licensed Ventrilo Host - AA Honor Provider - Great Service & Prices
thanks ... i will try that Rolleyes
but it will create a whole new folder tree
I'll say if this works when i go back from work Wink
It always stops the installation by that:
"No installation record found at c:\source
Checking/installing 'half-life base content' version 7
No steam content servers are available

When i rewrite the command line it resume installation but after a moment the message comes back

edit: I reinstalled a HL 1 server Sad because when i want to re-run the command line above, it says me that it cannot mix HL1 and Source dedicated server installations -pick a different location

Stealth, please helpppppp Wink
What do I do for HL2 Modifications? I want to host Garry's Mod, do I just type in -game HL2 ?
if its based on hl2mp, you would use hl2mp then probably install the mod manually.
