xitami web server

Was wondering if anyone has experience running a home-based web server to transfer files (sv_downloadurl).
I'm running xitami - any security issues, or performance enhancements I should be aware of ?

The problem with home-based web servers is the upload speed. If you're lucky, your connection may have 1 Mbps (128 KB/s) of upload speed. If you have several people using sv_downloadurl on it, it's going to slow to a crawl and peoples ping times are going to skyrocket.
