Optimising a 12 CS Source server
Hi guys,

I have a dedicated box, running a 32 man DODS Server, and didnt have any hickups, when full the box would run at around 65% CPU usage. I have put a 12 Man CSS server on the box now, and it seems to cause the DODS server to crash occasionally.

The CPU usage also doesnt seem reflective of only being a 12 man server, because usgae rises as high as 85% with 8 people on the CSS server.

I'm wondering if anyone has any suggestions to optimise the CPU usage of the CSS server, any switches to pass to the command line? Or perhaps lower the tickrate? Could that be done, since it's only a 12 man server without a performance hit?
