Installing a zen-kernel

I'm just about to install a custom kernel on my local testserver, but i can't find the ZEN-patch, i only find the full kernel and that is not what i want.
Could someone please link me to the newest zen-patch + the matching kernel on

Edit: And the "full" kernel doesn't have the ZEN Profile either.

I already tried it. Compiled everything and added all the drivers and shit, KERNEL PANIC ftw. I've given up. So i'm going to turn over to debian and try, i probably have more success there.

maybe that helps you avoiding the kernel panic... (Linux Kernel HOWTO!)

That's the guide I used. I followed everything, top to bottom of that page.
and what does the kernel panic exactly say? there can be a number of reasons for a panic, problems with mounting the root file system are only the most common ones... (Linux Kernel HOWTO!)

It said something like failed to mount root file system. For a extra security feeling i enabled all the SATA, IDE and AHCI drivers i could find. I have no idea why it's happening. It's a new machine too (or new hardware).
