I have no idea what it is or how to fix it. it pops up when i try running srcds.bat to load my server up. iv'e tried updating my server many times and still get the same error. please can anyone help me.

but the tier_0.dll is in the bin folder for srcds

What does that have to do with anything? Try removing some of your custom addons and try to start it up.
If you are planning on running a server on the computer you play on...

same problem, i deleted all, and installed it, without adding anything to it, but still it says the same problem... :s

umm it has to do with everything since in the pop up error the .dll file is brought up.

Hey Guys,
i have the same Problem at my WinXP CS:S Lanserver. It has nothing to do with mods/plugins or something else. I installed the server completely new in a empty folder and it comes again. The first time it get this error after the last steam update (V.86 to 87).
I've tried many things and i found out that when i leave the map comand "+map de_dust" f.e. in start options this error don't comes.
Needless to say, that the server don't starts Smile. It seems that this error occurs when or before the server wants to exec the server.cfg.
This is no solution for the problem but maybe it helps to find one.

Hey guys,
i've finished the Problem =)

This post is old i know bbut for all readers u must clean your registry Wink

thats all u must do.. use RegCleaner and delete all VALVE ans STEAM entries at registry and u can start the Server without the error Wink

Sorry for this bad english 2.. im German and English is not my Talent^^
