Sad failed to startAdding masterserver x.x.x.x:x
Well I've been plucking away at trying to start a TF2 server, but to no avail.

Here's the lowdown:

BASIC INFO
Server OS: Microsoft Windows XP Media Center Edition, Service Pack 3
Processor: AMD Athlon 64X Dual Core Processor 3800+ 2.00GHz
Ram: 1 Gb.
Game(s): Team Fortress 2
Start Up Command:(batch script) c:\HLserver\orangebox\srcds.exe -console -game tf -hostport 27015 +maxplayers 24 +map ctf_2fort
Admin Mods: none

Full Install command:c:\HLServer\hldsupdatetool -command update -game tf -dir c:\HLServer

Quote:Console initialized.
game.dll loaded for "Team Fortress"
Particles: Missing 'particles/error.pcf'
maxplayers set to 24
Network: IP x.x.x.x, mode MP, dedicated Yes, ports 27015 SV / 27005 CL
Executing dedicated server config file
Failed to load Steam ServiceServiceStart: failed to startAdding master server 72.165.61.136:27011
Connection to Steam servers successful.
VAC secure mode is activated.

has anyone seen this error/has any advice?

-Thanks!

Fixed. Turns out it was just my firewall blocking my ports!

Keep in mind that you wont be able to run a full 24-slot server on that CPU.

that's the 2 sentence explanation.
