Create a Steam Account:
-create <username> <password> <question> <answer>

Install or update HLDS:
-update <game> <installdir> <username> [<password> [Y]]
Y => remember password

Please tell my what´s wrong.. i just can´t see it with my little noob eyes Smile
Maybe try using a full absolute path with the -dir variable (i.e. /usr/local/games/srcds_l ) as that's the only difference between mine and yours that I can see.
It doesn´t seem to work either Sad

./steam -command update -game "Counter-Strike Source" -dir /root/srcds_l -username myusername -password mypassword -remember_password

The same "error"..

Thx anyway
When i do like this i get this error....

./steam -update "Counter-Strike
Source" /root/srcds_l username password Y

To be (an admin), or not to be (an admin), that is the Question. steam linux install guide for cs 1.6

That link doesn´t work either. It´s just retrying all the time.
Have another?

Sorry.. I answered my own Question!

Thx Japje Smile
It´s weak that Valve has an old steam file on their homepage. They should really do something about that.
