New kitchen cabinet layout
#1
Designing a new kitchen.
Will have cabinets beside the sink, cabinets beside the stove & an angled island.
Trying to decide what I want for base cabinets. The options are drawers or doors with pullout shelves.
I'm leaning towards going with all drawers. The wider ones will have a standard drawer on top & 2 taller drawers below. I think the narrow ones have 4 drawers total.
I think the storage space should be similar to the door cabinets, but there won't be doors in the way. Will be easier to access things.
I've got a pantry so bigger stuff can go in there.
Tell me why I shouldn't go with drawers everywhere.

I’ve been through the same process, and the thing that helped decide how many drawers I actually needed was clearing out extra stuff beforehand. It’s like moving dining room furniture - you don’t realize how much space things take up until you shift them around. I made a checklist and kept track of what went where, which saved me a lot of frustration later.

Going with drawers throughout a new kitchen layout can be a smart move since they offer easy access and keep everything within reach without needing to move doors out of the way. They also work well alongside pantries because everyday items stay organized. In the middle of planning storage, some people also look at how surfaces hold up long-term, which is why Commercial kitchen epoxy flooring often comes up for its durability and seamless, easy-to-clean finish. Pairing practical cabinetry with a tough floor can create a kitchen that stays functional and stylish for years.
