tf2 hltv port allocation

I searched around and didn't see any threads for this so forgive me if I'm in the wrong place.

I'm attempting to run a tf2 server (following the given guide from here)
and after startup the server crashes with the error that it can't allocate an ip port for hltv.

This is from a base install. I have a css and 2 dods servers working correctly (multiple nics)...I've tried stopping all those servers to see if tf2 would work all by itself...same problem. Port forwarding is definitely not the problem. I thought hltv doesn't even come with basic dedicated server install. Isn't sourcetv the built-in tv function? Is there some tv settings that I need to apply that I'm unaware of? I don't have any tv settings enabled so I'm not sure why hltv is conflicting...especially since I don't have it.

I'm running: windows server 2003..dual xeons..8 gb ram

Thanks =)

put +tv_port yoursourcetvportgoeshere in your launch and try that. if you have multiple servers per ip make sure the sourcetv port is different.

Unfortunately that didn't work. I think the tv_port command is a part of sourcetv though. The tf2 server is running on its own ip.

launch option I used to test:
srcds.exe -console -game tf -autoupdate -tickrate 66 +maxplayers 20 +map cp_badlands -ip XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX +tv_port 27021

Isn't it disabled by default? I added 'tv_enable 0' to my server.cfg and removed the +tv_port launch option. It didn't work =(
Is there another way to disable it?

oh, I just found something:
-nohltv
-tvdisable
Disables all SourceTV features on this game server.
-tvmasteronly
SourceTV can only serve one client and can't be used as relay proxy.

I need to leave so I'll try those launch options when i get back. If you have suggestions in the meantime I'd appreciate it. Thanks =)

-nohltv launch option worked....

For whatever reason the server thought hltv was installed I am baffled by...

RE: tf2 hltv port allocation

A lot of commands didn't change between HL and Source. That's why nohltv would work.

that's the 2 sentence explanation.
