DoD Server files unlocked!

The DoD Dedicated Server can be downloaded now. You can download the files using hldsupdatetool/steam.

Windows:
Hldsupdatetool -command update -game dods -dir .

Linux:
./steam -command update -game dods -dir .
(The -beta preload can be chopped off now, thanks SHAZcat07)

Starting the server

Windows:
srcds.exe -console -game dod +map dod_anzio -maxplayers 20 -autoupdate

Linux
./srcds_run -game dod +map dod_anzio -maxplayers 20 -autoupdate

Change the values to your needs. Note the "dod" instead "dods".

If you have any tips, cvars etc. feel free to post it.

Does anyone have a server.cfg for DOD:S yet by chance, or know of a list of server var's since server.cfg's don't come down with the the updates?

I'm all updated.. Just waiting on those "last few mb" that Alfred mentioned and a solid server.cfg..

What is the command to get the full dedicated server?

i keep gettin couldn't exec dod_anzio.cfg
and when i look @ server list my server does not show up

The couldn't exec error is because you do not have a map specific configuration. You can safely ignore this error.

Secondly, the not showing up is because the masterserver needs to be freshened up. You can try the heartbeat command a few times to tell the masterserver "Hello I am here!". If that doesn't work, you might have ports blocked. SteamPowered.com Support has a guide on that.

Ok everything worked perfectly im currently running 2 32 slot servers and they filled up in less then 20 seconds.. is insane

where do u get the cfg for the server i got server all ready too go just need a cfg .. im going nuts lol plz help thanks...

This is amazing, I saw a server, 5 people, Hmm, looks like a nice server i think i will join. I click it and bang, 32/32 people. This is Amazing...

Doubleposting won't get people to reply any sooner glock23.

This means there is not much to configure. No things like Friendly fire in CS and such.
