TF 2 Server Install

ok so i read all the post on here.

i went on steam and did the Stand Alone server

i dont have the file server.cfg and when i run the update again it tells me that every thing is up to date

can i get any help?

You'll have to create your own server.cfg

so i need to make a server.cfg?

im not sure how to do this and what needs to be in it

can i get like a sample?

Take another .cfg file in the tf/cfg folder.

Then rename it and delete the content.
(If you can't open it, just select to open it with Notepad)

does TF2 need special things in the server.cfg to make it work or can i copy any server.cfg?

You might want to find a specific one for TF2. But a Counter-Strike: Source config should do it too.
There might be some CVars there doesn't work.

Try ./hlds_run alternatively. As well, make sure that the executable is set to the USER and the GROUP that the server is running as, presuming it does exist.

Alternatively try this:
wget http://www.steampowered.com/download/hldsupdatetool.bin
chmod +x hldsupdatetool.bin && ./hldsupdatetool.bin
./steam

This is the new error.

run "ls -l" in the directory your in, make sure its not put the srcds install in a sub directory
